St. George

The night before we were leaving to St. George we had someone (thanks Sanovich’s)  ring our doorbell and run and leave a coconut on our porch.  It was the “bored coconut”.  It travels from house to house meeting new people and you have to pass the coconut within 72 hours, here is our night with bored coconut.

We left for St. George Thursday morning.  We were all so excited to take a little vacation and get away.  We went with my parents, Brad, Ashlee and Mike.  We had such an AMAZING week!!  We all shared a condo and enjoyed beautiful weather and made some wonderful memories.  I also got a camera for my birthday the week before, so be prepared for LOTS of pictures.

Where did July Go?!?! PART 2

We have had such a fun summer, and I don’t want it to end.  July 10th, we went fishing in the Uintas with my parents, Ashlee, and Brad.  We had a fun time. First we went to tea pot lake, but there were no fish, so we went to Mirror Lake and found an awesome spot. We all caught lots of fish.

Friday July 15th we decided to get the tent out and make sure it good to take on our camping trip the following weekend.  We thought it would be fun to sleep out in the backyard since it was already up.  Thank goodness we tested everything out because both air mattress went flat, we went out and bought two new ones for our next campout.

Tommy even made us a peach cobbler in the dutch oven in the backyard.  That night our friends called and invited us to go boating to Deer Creek with them the next day, so  I went in and got things ready to go, while the boys watch a movie outside on the deck.

Time to call it a night.

We were all so excited to go boating.  We went with Justin, Julie, Landon.  I had not been on boat since around Jr. High.  I decided to try wake boarding for my first time.  I got up on my first try!! (I only stayed up for a few seconds, but, I’ll take it) After a few tries I got better and better and stayed up longer and longer.  I LOVED IT!! Tommy also went wake boarding, he was nervous about getting up (he did not want his wife showing him up) He got up each time no problem and did AWESOME!! We also went tubing (the boys both thought it was so fun), swimming and Tommy and I both did wake surfing.  We had such a fun day with our great friends.

We went camping to the Spruces with my family (minus Brad who was in Colorado with his friends, and of course Matt and Chels who are in North Carolina) July 21-July 24th, I broke my camera so I didn’t get any pictures.  We had so much fun hiking, fishing, throwing rocks in the stream, playing cards, riding bikes, and just enjoying family time.  We came home July 24th, unpacked, had much needed showers then went to my parents for fireworks.  We also did some Monday night, my family are firebugs and we can’t get enough fireworks.  We had such a fun July, hope August is just as great
