Holiday fun

Last Saturday we went to my dads work kids Christmas party . This year it was at Clark Planetarium. We got to watch a movie on the big IMAX theatre, we saw Light Before Christmas. It was a cute show and even more important Carson sat through the whole thing. (it was only like 30 minutes and he had a big bucket of popcorn to keep him occupied, but... he did it!) After the movie we got in line to visit Santa. Sean told Santa he wanted a guitar again. After they saw Santa we went to Pipers dance recital, she did so good!!

After the dance recital we ran home for a few hours before he went to the Bowcutt Christmas party. We had a really good time. Ya can't go wrong with food, family and games!!

Monday our awesome friends The Larsen's invited us to go to Zoo lights with them and of course we said yes! (even if they never come with us when we invite them, j/k, we always call them last minute and they have had other plans :) ) Tommy was supposed to go with us but he got stuck at work. We had such a fun time seeing all the wonderful lights, reindeer and the big man himself..Santa. After that we were all hungry and we headed over to Red Robin to feed our hungry belly's. Tommy was able to join us for dinner. We are so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to spend this holiday season with!!!

My friend had this on her blog and I thought it was so fun!! I know there are 3 of them, but each one is a different dance, they made me laugh and I could not choose just one. Happy Holidays!!

Better late than never.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

My beautiful mom's birthday was on December 6th, that was the day of grandma's viewing so her birthday was kinda put on the back burner. We were able to celebrate my mom's birthday on Wednesday though. We went to Cafe Rio for dinner. My brother Matt was able to come in from North Carolina for grandmas funeral so he was here to celebrate with us too. Chelsee was not able to make it though because she was just in Utah a few weeks ago because she just lost her grandma. My Uncle and his family, grandpa and his sister and grandma T joined us for dinner too. After Cafe Rio we all went back to my parents house for some cake. We had the most delicious red velvet cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes (oh my, it was tasty!!!)
My mom is such an amazing person, she is a beautiful person inside and out. I am lucky to be so close with my mom, I see her probably about 4-5 times a week. We have the best time shopping, talking and laughing together. Words can not describe what she means to me, she has been there for me in my most difficult times and I know I can always count on her to make me smile. Thanks mom for being the most amazing mom, the coolest grandma and my best friend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

We had a wonderful thanksgiving. We started out the day by putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations. We gave Sean and Carson a box set of all the old Christmas classic cartoons. So we put in Frosty the Snowman and started decorating away. I decided to do this while Carson was having a nap, I was not sure if he would leave all the decorations alone or think they were all new toys for him to play with. Sean loved decorating the tree. When Carson woke up he was super excited to see the lights and all the fun Christmas decorations. Carson did so well not touching the tree or the ornaments, I was so glad!!

Later that afternoon we went to Grandma Tschaggeny's house for a

yummy turkey dinner. Here is the clean up crew hard at work.

Last Saturday we all bundled up and went to Wheeler Farm for a hayride to see the Christmas lights. It was a perfect night to go, not too crowded, not too cold, just a FUN night!! We went with my parents, siblings, and even grandma Tschaggeny joined us. After the Christmas lights, we were able to visit with Santa and do a little craft. After the lights, we went to Red Robin for some grub.

This weekend we also went to Tommy's parents house in Logan for an early Christmas, our niece Abbi and her family came up from Idaho to celebrate too. Sean and Carson had a blast playing with all the kids. We went to Chili's for lunch then went back to the house to open presents and eat cookies. We had such a fun day!

On Friday December 3rd, my grandma Snider passed away. I will miss her so much. I have so many wonderful memories of my grandma that I will hold close to my heart. Her viewing was on Monday December 6th and her funeral was today, it was such a beautiful service. I was able to read the obituary and give some remarks about my grandma at her funeral, it was so good to remember all the wonderful times we had together. I am so lucky to have had such a loving grandma who always made me, Tommy and my kids feel so special and loved. Grandma till we meet again. LOVE YOU!!!

Phyllis Erma Snider 1930 ~ 2010 Our beautiful and talented wife, mother, sister and friend, Phyllis Erma Snider, passed away on December 3 on her 59th wedding anniversary.Phyllis was born on March 6, 1930 in Manti, Utah to Wanda and Edgar Larson. She married Duane Snider in 1951 in Salt Lake City. Phyllis worked in real estate and interior design. In later years, her volunteer activities included teaching reading as a second language and working at the Davis County Food Bank. Phyllis's interests were amazingly diverse. She was a talented painter, seamstress, gardener, decorator, and card sharp who appreciated the beauty in everything. She loved the Utah Jazz and attending the Unitarian Church. She read several books a week and taught her children and grandchildren to love books. In the history of grandmothers, there has never been a more amazing one. She is survived by her husband, Duane, daughter Debbie (Philip), sons Kelly (Celia), Kurt (Charlotte), and Kevin (Louise). eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. sisters Carol Wilson, Vivian VanDeventer, and brothers Kenneth and Dean Larson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 11:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where viewings will be held on Monday, December 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday just prior to the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
