Miracle whip and watermelon???

1 year ago today my grandpa Tschaggeny passed away from Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  He was diagnosed February 12th, and fought hard that month and half.  It is hard to think it’s been 1 year since I have been able to see him and hug and kiss him.  He was an amazing man.  I miss him so much and life is just not the same without him.  Parties were so fun with grandpa T, you could always count on him to make you laugh.  Grandpa was so fun to watch eat…yes he would put miracle whip on his watermelon, among many other things.  :) Watching TV was just as entertaining, he would manage to fall asleep in his lazy boy and just when you thought it was safe to change the channel he would wake up and say “ I was watching that” and be able to tell you everything that happened.  Growing up we had sleepovers a lot at our grandparents, every year on our birthday we would go to dinner and a movie and stay over night.  Sleepovers continued even still when we all got married and had kids, every year the weekend before Christmas all the grandkids would sleepover, play games and hang out with the grandparents.  Grandpa made everyone he met feel so special.  These are just some of the many memories I hold close and cherish of my Grandpa T.   Can’t wait until we meet again someday, LOVE YOU!!

Up an runnin’ again

Last week our computer decided to die on us, and I know next to nothing about computers. I was so so worried that we were going to loose everything, but thanks to some help from our friends the computer is fixed and we did not loose anything!!  I also found out on Saturday that my cell phone is not chocolate milk proof.  I did not realize how dang much I rely on my computer and cell phone.  I only went 6 days without my computer and 2 without a phone, but I was having withdrawals ;)

We had a fun St. Patrick’s Day.  The boys woke up to a trail of gold coins, which lead them to a balloon and some candy. They though it was so fun that the leprechaun left them a surprise. Sean made a count down chain at school and could not wait for “green day.”

After Sean got home from school we made some cupcakes to take to some friends. (of course we had to try them out to make sure they were edible.) That night Greg, Melissa and Kam came over to hang out and the guys got the 4-wheelers ready to go for Saturday. As always, we had a really fun night with the Larsen’s.  The kids had fun playing with play dough, eating cupcakes and ice cream and watching Despicable Me.

Saturday we went to the sand dunes with my sister Ashlee and the Larsen’s.  I had not been to the last dunes for about a year and a half and could not wait to go. The boys were also super excited to go too.  We had a pretty good time overall, the weather was nice except for the dang wind.  We can’t wait to go riding again soon!!!

Dinner & Disney

This weekend we got to hang out with our friends Greg, Melissa and Kambree. We went to Red Robin for dinner (how I love their chicken wraps, YUMMY!!) and then Melisssa, Kam, Sean and I went to Disney on ice. The kids did not know where we were going they just knew we had a surprise for them. Greg, Tommy and Carson hung out since Carson will not sit still long enough to take him (hopefully next year :) ) Our waitress was super slow, so we made it with minutes to spare. The kids had an awesome time. We had pretty good seats we were on the side 9 rows up, most of the action was going on in the center, so I told Melissa that we should move to the center during intermission. She was a little nervous, but I told her it would be know problem, that I had done it before and there were tons of empty spots. So... I scoped out some seats and we went and sat during intermission. A few minutes before it started the ticket lady says to us "where are your tickets?" Okay what are the dang odds, never before has that happened to me, so I blame it totally on Melissa. :) She made us move, the lights were starting to go out so we just moved up a few rows and had a good rest of the night.

And it would not be an event for Sean
without a churro

Sean's favorite part was when the
Toy Story characters came out

The first part of the month both kids had strep throat and colds, which made for one LONG week!! Finally we are all back to normal (well... as normal as we can get) I have tried to take advantage of this beautiful weather and have made as many trips to the park as possible. Sean and Carson play so cute together. Sean is very protective of his little bro. Anything Sean does, little Carson is there to follow.

Yesterday I took Carson for his first hair cut. Sean said he needed to go first to show Carson how do it. Sean loves getting his hair cut and he loves Roger who does it. Carson did really well, I gave him a bag a cheetos and that kept him occupied for a few minutes. He started getting a little restless so I got him a sucker and that worked for the rest of the hair cut. Carson is soooo ticklish and when he used the razor he could not stop laughing it tickled his little neck.
