WE DID IT!!!!

Tommy and I ran in the Ragnar Wasatch Back 192 mile relay race over the weekend.  Ragnar is a 12 person team, each person runs 3 legs varying in miles and difficulty.  The Wasatch back relay started in Logan at Utah State University and ended in Park City at Park City High.  The 12 people are broken up into 2 vans each with 6 runners.  We were in the second van.  The first van stared at 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning in Logan and we had to be in Ogden at 10:00 a.m. to wait for our first runner to start.  Tommy ran a total of 16.3 miles and I ran 16.4 miles.  This is the first time either of us have ever been in a race, but we loved it!!  One of our friends called us about a month and a half before the race and asked us if we wanted to do it.  Tommy did not have very much time to train, and a shin split going into the race but he did AMAZING!! I had a hurt I.T. band going into the race, thankfully we were both still able to run.  Hopefully next year we can both be injury free and do even better.  A few times when we were only going on a few hours of sleep and running at 2:00 a.m. we were wondering what the heck we signed up for, but we are SO glad we did, and are hoping to do it again next year. The boys really did not seem to miss us either, since they spent 3 days and 2 nights with grandma and pop having LOTS of fun! Thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of the kidos!  We finished the race Saturday afternoon and could not wait to have a good night sleep, (since we spent the night before on a hard gym floor and only slept for 21/2 hours)

Busy busy……but, FUN couple of weeks!

Last weekend we went to the sand dunes again, but this time we slept overnight. The boys loved every minute of it. I had a hard time with the boys being so dang dirty and sandy, but I finally put the baby wipes away and sucked it up and let them be boys. The weather was AMAZING! We went with out wonderful neighbors the Brewster’s again and my cousin Adam and his wife Mandy and their 2 kids, Piper and Kohen came along for the fun too.

We had SO SO much fun riding but we also had a blast playing in the sand. All 3 families went and played in the sand, tossed Frisbees, played baseball, jumped in the sand, and took turns burying each other.

Sean had a field trip to the fire station last Wednesday and I had to work so Tommy took a few hours off in the morning and went with Sean.

Nice hit Seaners!!

Last night (Wednesday) my little Sean graduated from Pre-school (he will be one of Miss Kim’s big kids next year for pre-school) The kids sang some cute songs for us, then we chowed down on some yummy BBQ. Despite the cold windy weather, it was lots of fun.

And last…. but NOT least, My BEAUTIFUL baby sister Ashlee Anna graduated from high school last week. I am so proud of her and all of her hard work. I love you Ash! I am so glad she is out of school so she can come hang out with me and the boys without ditching school. ;) I left my dang camera in the car for her graduation but here are couple of her senior pictures.
