Dirty Dash and Superheroes

 

Last Saturday, September 17th I ran my first 10k in the mud!! It was AWESOME!  I ran with my brother Brad, Kami, my sister Ashlee, and Mike.  I was sad that Tommy had to work, but I can drag him with me next year.  We all decided to dress up in our 80’s gear.  We ran 6.2 miles through the mud, with obstacles along the way.  The race was up at Soldier Hollow, I was worried a few days before the race about the weather, but it turned out to be a beautiful day.  I can’t wait to run the “Dirty Dash” next year

The next day we went to a superhero birthday party for my cousins little guy, Kohen.  The party was at our neighborhood park. We had lots of fun, Happy 3rd Birthday Kohen!!

My little boy is growing up…..to fast!!

 

 

Sean started his 2nd and last year of preschool on Tuesday. No big deal right, he did this last year and I was fine. NOPE!,  this year hit me a lot harder than it last year. It really made me think how dang fast my little guys are growing up, I will have a kindergartner in a year!  Sean was so excited to go back to school and see Miss Kim and all his friends.

Here is what we have been up to for the last few weeks.  

We went to Thanksgiving Point with Melissa and Kambree to the petting zoo and the dinosaur museum.

 

 

 

My cousin Tyler left for Bellevue University in Nebraska on August 25th, we had a going away party for him the Sunday before.  He got a scholarship there to play baseball.  We will miss him.  

 

 

Mo came and brought his rat rod and gave all of us rides.

Last Friday the kids and I went to the zoo. Generally I bypass the playground because it is usually to crowded, but we got there right at 9:00 when it opened so I let the kids play, they loved it.

We also had some fun with play dough this week.   Tuesday night we took the boys swimming at the rec center.  Oh man, did they have fun. They spent most of their time going between the water slides and jumping off the edge of the pool into the water.  I am so not ready for summer to end, I love the warm weather and being outside, but I guess the cold weather will come whether I like it or not!!

 

St. George

 

The night before we were leaving to St. George we had someone (thanks Sanovich’s)  ring our doorbell and run and leave a coconut on our porch.  It was the “bored coconut”.  It travels from house to house meeting new people and you have to pass the coconut within 72 hours, here is our night with bored coconut.

We left for St. George Thursday morning.  We were all so excited to take a little vacation and get away.  We went with my parents, Brad, Ashlee and Mike.  We had such an AMAZING week!!  We all shared a condo and enjoyed beautiful weather and made some wonderful memories.  I also got a camera for my birthday the week before, so be prepared for LOTS of pictures.

Friday morning Brad, Tommy, Mike and my dad, had a early morning tee time, so my boys, me, Ash, and my mom, went to the playground and the pool.

Friday afternoon we went to the fair, and that night we went to Tuacahn and saw The Little Mermaid, it was really good!

Sunday we spent the day at Zion’s, and hiked the narrows. My parents stayed back with the boys and played in the water while the rest of us hiked the main part of the narrows.
